2008 GOBN Programs

Board of Directors
Our Board of Directors meets monthly and performs a vital function in keeping us on an even keel.

Charity Committee
The organization we have selected to support works with children with terminal diseases, primarily cancer, and the organization is called Base Camp. We are very proud of want we have done with them so far and our members have been touched by working with them.

Membership Committee
The Membership Committee's function is to review all membership application to insure there is not potential conflict with an existing member. The potential member is then interviewed by two members of the committee and a recommendation is made to the committee on acceptance. The Membership Committee is chaired by our Vice-President.

Social Committee
Social events are a vital part of relationship building and, over the years, our organization has developed some traditions that help us maintain our sense of family year in and year out.

Lunch Program
One of the other vital programs within GOBN is our Lunch Program. This program is the centerpiece of our internal relationship building helping us develop intramural trust, allowing us to have great confidence in the referrals we give our fellow members.

Mentor Program
The Mentor Program is one of our most important programs. This program insures our new members are partnered up with a seasoned member in an effort to build strength and continuity in GOBN.

New Visitors
When Visitors come to GOBN, they are met and introduced by our own Len Burnett each week. It is Len that ignites the meeting each week to get the fun started.

Visitation
Visitation is designed to provide the needed contact with our members when they are infirmed or have family losses that require an appropriate response.
